Roles

Everyone in an organization has one role.

RoleIn shortCan
OwnerFull control, including billing and deleting the organization.Everything an admin can do, plus buying plans, transferring ownership and closing or wiping the organization.
AdminEverything except billing. Can add and remove people.Build forms, work and export responses, reports, API keys, webhooks, allowed domains, backups, email destinations, the wallet, members.
EditorBuilds forms and works the responses.Build and publish forms, read, add, edit and export responses, reports and saved views.
ViewerReads responses and reports. Changes nothing.Read responses and reports.

There is exactly one owner. Admins can give people the Admin, Editor or Viewer role; only the owner can hand over ownership.

Inviting people

  1. Open Settings → Users and choose Invite.
  2. Enter their email address and pick a role.
  3. Send them the invitation link that appears — by email, chat or however you like. They open it, sign in with that address, and join.

Invitation links work for 14 days. Open invitations count towards your plan's people limit until they are accepted or withdrawn.

Several organizations

You can belong to several organizations — your own and ones you are invited to — and switch between them from the organization menu at the top of the app. Each has its own forms, data, plan and wallet. You can own up to five.

The owner's powers

Under Settings → Danger zone the owner can:

  • Transfer ownership to another member. They become the owner; you stay as an admin.
  • Wipe the organization's data: every form, response and upload is deleted at once, while the organization, its people and its API keys stay.
  • Close the organization by typing its name. Its public links stop working straight away; everything is deleted for good after 14 days, and until then it can be recovered.

Anyone who is not the owner can leave an organization from their profile.
