Using DataMold
Email notifications
Every new response in your inbox, paid from a prepaid wallet.
DataMold can email each new response to you and your team the moment it arrives — the answers in the email itself, with a link to open it in the app. Emails are paid from a prepaid wallet: 10 paise for each email to each address.
Setting it up
- Add money to the wallet. Under Settings → Wallet, choose ₹100, ₹500 or ₹1,000, or any amount from ₹100 to ₹50,000, and pay through Razorpay by card, UPI or net banking. GST (18%) is added at checkout; the wallet is credited the amount you chose.
- Choose who receives them. Under Settings → Email destinations, add up to five addresses and switch each on or off.
- Choose which forms. In each form's settings, Email each new response is on by default. Switch it off for forms you do not need in your inbox.
Email destinations
- The organization's registered email is always on the list. It cannot be removed, only switched off.
- Addresses of people in your organization start working at once. Any other address is sent a confirmation email first; it starts receiving responses once someone clicks the link in it (valid for 7 days). You can send the confirmation again after a minute.
- Managing destinations and adding money need the Admin or Owner role.
What the email contains
- The subject names the form and the response's reference code: "New response: Contact us #K7Q2M".
- A table of every answered question and its answer, and when it was submitted.
- A button that opens the response in DataMold.
- What the email cost and a link to your email settings.
- If the form asked for an email address, replying to the email replies to the person who filled in the form.
When the balance runs low
Each new response is sent to as many addresses as the balance can pay for, in the order of your list (the registered email first). The rest are skipped and appear in the wallet history as "Not sent — balance too low". The response itself is always saved — only the email is skipped.
The wallet page warns you when the balance covers fewer than 50 emails.
Wallet history
The wallet page lists every top-up, every email charge and every refund, newest first, a page at a time.
